Tara,
Good to hear your thoughts again. Can't believe how much we have in common.
Although rarely thin, I was never obese until I was in my car when it was totaled on the freeway. For some reason, the mild hypothyroidism I had been treating with a doctor with supplemental artificial thyroid went off the rails. No amount of artificial thyroid would treat it and I gained 50 pounds.
I, too, am now fat, and I hate it. I have scheduled an appointment with a functional medical doctor for next month. Regular endocrinologists have said only, Let's treat it with 25 more micrograms of artificial thyroid and watch what happens.
What has happened is nothing, as I have bought a completely new ugly fat wardrobe and cried my eyes out more times than I can count.
You have my sympathies, sister,
Sharon
